Storyline
Flame virus has infected the world’s population leaving only Thomas, Newt and Frypan immune. They with The Right Arm Resistance conduct an operation to rescue the other immunes from a train. Apart from these three Gladers, Minho is the fourth which needs to be rescued too. He is captured by WCKD, an organization that experiments on immune children. The three go after Minho to The Last City, the headquarters of WCKD and in the way get attacked by Cranks.
Upon reaching the walls of the city they meet Gally who agrees to lead Thomas and Newt into the WCKD headquarters where the immunes are. Newt confesses he is infected. Immune children are handed over to Brenda who flees and Gary searches for Thomas. Teresa learns that Thomas’ blood can cure Flare. They find Minho and move to seek Brenda to get the serum, while Newt passes out. Teresa through her voice asks Thomas to be back. Meanwhile, Newt kills himself as Flare nearly consumes him.
Janson kills Ava and knocks Thomas out. He reveals to Teresa that he intends to cure himself only. Thomas defeats him in a tussle later. Thomas and Teresa run to the rooftop and while getting aboard a plane Teresa gets killed. The group of the immunes and The Right Arm reunite later.
